About us

We are Stephen and Sheena Whitton, based in Milton Keynes in the UK and we offer our beautiful new Turkish homes exclusively to our family and friends together with their trusted families and friends.

We fell in love with Turkey on our first visit and decided to acquire a property there as it offers a great holiday destination. Whilst it may be a little further than the Spanish Costas, (it’s the same travel time as Cyprus or the Canaries though), you’ll see it’s worth it when you arrive.

In the UK we have a lot of "opinions" about Turkey - we did too. But, try it for yourself - don't let the media and ignorance taint your views and spoil your chance of experiencing this magnificent "warm" country.

The people are friendly, the food is great and atmosphere is safe and relaxed.

We extend our high living standards and expectations to our holidays and believe that you should too – why should you settle for below standard just because you are on holiday!

By keeping our rentals exclusive, we aim to ensure that each of our guests enjoys these high standards – as we know they will bring their own high standards too and will want to rent an apartment that is continually looked after.

Top Tips.

When you arrive at the airport, join the "Visas" que and have ready a British £10 note for each person's visa (don't expect a friendly smile from visa or passport control - they must get lessons from UK imigration officers!).Restaurant owners will be keen to entice you in, but a friendly "no" usually works. Show some interest, take a card and be polite, they'll love it.Market stall holders will spot you're British and want to sell fake T-shirts and underwear to you - try "Saul" (pronounced "Sow all") - it means "NO thanks" in Turkish. (we got some great "Kevin Kline" underpants, by the way!)Turkish men sit and people watch and as a tourist, you represent sales and income - just smile and nod your head and they'll smile back. (Most of Turkey is increasingly very Westernised, so no need to cover up etc - be respectful though if you visit a mosque)(By the way, our new Turkish friends tell us they are afraid to visit the UK because of crime levels, murders in the streets and drugs problems - all of which in Turkey is very rare as it carries extreme penalties!!)Turkey is a Muslim country, but is a secular society - this means Religion and Politics do not meet! In other words there is total tollerance to ALL religious beliefs - we could do with some of that in the West!Driving is very easy (on the right obviously), fuel is not cheap but car hire is! They are hot on speeding, so watch out for speed checks - always carry your passport, drivers licence and car hire agreement.Guys - treat yourself to a shave in a proper Turkish Barbers, you'll not get a shave like it! 30 minutes of relaxation for about £4.Final tip, relax, chill-out, enjoy great food, warm to the friendly people, bask in great weather and have a great holiday.
